Don’t compel me to kneel on my knees
Don’t compel me to be a slave to The Pain
I’m the source of The Shakti from within
I will rise high even in the frenzied winds
My body may be touched by cancer
But I’m The Power from deep within
Because I’m the soul, the spirit, That Fire
Which burns to Live magnificently each day
I find my voice and strength each day
No matter how hard and challenging are the days
My soul is liberated, free from all the pain
Cancer can’t win nor compel me to quiet my Voice from deep within
It can hurt my body but not undermine my soul
I’m not a lone warrior
Nor a poor soul
I hold my fortress strong and upright
And will bow down to the Divine Light
