This is a poem written to acknowledge and accept change because that’s what is constant … be it winters or spring-
Winters ended ushered in spring;
Just when I thought it’s all over;
Life reverberated with fresh innings;
Changes I witnessed,
Some moments of shock;
Some moments of despair ;
Some moments sunken in deep hearts…
Some moments of pain;
Just when I thought these were some of my final moments of tryst with angst
Some moments of pain,
I then decided to usher in my Life with spring.
No Remorse;
No Pain ;
I set afloat my spirits,
Free from all burdens,
And enjoy moments of remission,
I decided I had to accept The Change.
To Laugh, To Smile,
Share a joke ,
No matter how hard it was to hold volcanoes of emotions churning inside;
I decided to celebrate The Spring in life,
Savour the beauty of flowers, deep blue skies,
and the riveret besides;
Humming birds and laughters of a child,
Universal tapestry of interwoven colours and threads;
Life has so much to offer
Alas! I couldn’t realise;
The jolt of ‘ Cancer’ was enough for me to realise;
All this is Ephemeral,
Then why not Enjoy,
Some Simple Pleasures of Life…
Because when Winters ended Ushered in Spring…
I decided there’s no point to cling,
Embrace Life as it comes ,
For It’s never too late to Live.
