Ribbons are symbolic representation of a message without the usage of Language as a Barrier.
As per American Childhood Cancer Organisation in the year 1997 a group of parents agreed upon “GOLD” as the “Ideal Choice for Childhood Cancer Awareness “.
“GOLD “ was designated as an “OFFICIAL COLOUR” for Childhood Cancer Awareness Ribbon because it symbolically represented the ‘Precious Metal’ - “Gold”.
Metaphorically it represented that “CHILDREN ARE PRECIOUS” elements in our Lives and the “Resiliency” of “ Childhood CANCER Heroes “.
Unlike other Cancer Awareness Ribbons that symbolises only ONE Specific disease, the Childhood Cancer Ribbon stands for dozens of diseases including Brain Tumours, Leukaemia and other solid tumours like Neuroblastoma.
